If you have forklift trucks moving in an out of your warehouse or facility frequently throughout the day, the wheels are likely to be bringing in dirt and water from outside, especially during the winter months or on rainy days.
Forklift mats are effectively entrance mats for forklifts. Instead of wiping footwear, they scrape and wipe the forklifts wheels to prevent dirt and water being tracked into your building and to prevent slip and fall accidents.
They are simply designed to make your facility or warehouse both safer and clean, by reducing the amount of dirt and water brought in from outside.
Why are Waterhog Modular Forklift Mats different?
Our latest edition of Waterhog Forklift Mats are simpler than ever. They come in modular tiles of 120 x 172cm each, that are easy to install and scalable for any application. They are low profile which means they are also suitable for pallet trucks.
Installing each tile only has a short downtime of around 10 minutes. This makes them a great option for busy warehouses that can’t have their loading bay doors closed off for long periods of time.
Our original forklift mats required gluing to the floor, which has a downtime of 3-4 days to allow the glue to cure. With our new Waterhog Modular Forklift Mats, they are ready to be driven over as soon as they have been installed!
The mats still have everything thats great about the original mats, including crush-proof rubber nubs, a heavy duty rubber backing and a fast-drying face.
How do you install them?
The mat tiles are installed using an industrial strength double sided tape (also available from Mats4U). The tape is placed around all four edges of the matting, as well as in a diagonal cross shape through the middle of the mat (see image below) before securing the mats in place on the clean and dry floor.
