The CityTrack Ground Protection Mat delivers reliable temporary ground protection without the weight and handling challenges associated with heavier-duty alternatives. Manufactured from 100% recyclable High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), each mat combines strength, versatility, and ease of deployment, making it ideal for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and event applications.
Measuring 110cm x 240cm and 8mm thick, CityTrack supports loads of up to 35 tonnes, depending on ground conditions. Its dual-surface design features a slip-resistant 4-bar chequer plate surface on one side and a smooth finish on the reverse, providing excellent grip while also allowing easy wheeled access for trolleys, forklifts, wheelchairs, and equipment.
Weighing approximately 24kg per mat and incorporating integrated handholds, CityTrack can be quickly deployed and repositioned by one or two people, helping contractors and event teams meet demanding project schedules. Corner and side connection points allow mats to be securely linked together using compatible two-way and four-way connectors, creating larger working areas, walkways, access routes, or protective flooring systems.

Installation Instructions
Surface Preparation
- Ensure the ground is structurally sound and reasonably level.
- Remove sharp objects, debris, and loose materials.
- Avoid installation over large potholes or significant depressions, as unsupported areas may damage the mat.
Installation
- Lay the first mat in the required position.
- Place adjoining mats alongside the first mat.
- Align the corner or side connection holes.
- Insert compatible two-way or four-way connectors.
- Secure connectors according to the connector manufacturer's instructions.
- Continue until the desired area is covered.
- Check all connections before allowing pedestrian, vehicle, or machinery access.
Removal
- Remove all connectors.
- Lift mats using the integrated handholds.
- Stack flat for storage or transportation.
- Inspect mats and connectors before future use.
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Sweep away dirt, mud, and debris using a stiff brush.
- Wash with water when required.
- Use a pressure washer for stubborn dirt and heavy contamination.
- Allow mats to dry before stacking for long-term storage.
- Inspect connection points periodically for damage or wear.
- Store flat on a level surface when not in use.
- No routine maintenance is required.
